Before
The Clients wanted to modernise and upgrade their historic home to create better and more useful spaces. They also wanted to take advantage of the location and its fantastic views.
They worked closely with us to develop a new, contemporary design using porcelain cladding to contrast, yet compliment, the fabric of the main house In the evening light, the cladding takes on a subtle, sun-dipped hue that softens its appearance against the historic home and its backdrop.
The completed design introduces a new, open-plan kitchen / dining space, complete with pop-out reading nook, a downstairs wc, and a utility room, with further works upstairs to reorganise and upgrade existing spaces.
Large sliding doors peel back to open and extend the space fully, while slot windows are carefully positioned to playfully offer snapshots of the panoramic views beyond from within the main house.
Through the landscape design, we were able to further improve the integration between the indoor and outdoor spaces, adding to the overall enjoyment of the home and its unique characteristics.
